OUR IMPACT
FIRE LILY is a certified B Corp. What's a B Corp? It means we recognize that a company must maintain high, verifiable standards for transparency, accountability, and managing its social and economic impact.
By implementing such measures, Fire Lily becomes a force for good in the world.
We believe that current legal systems, business cultures, and prevailing mindsets about success negatively impact individuals, societies, and the planet. These negative impacts include structural inequality and environmental degradation. They have also led to people losing their sense of well-being and connection to the community.
As a B Corp, we see tapping into the power of business as the solution to these woes. By prioritizing all stakeholders instead of only the shareholders, companies can positively impact society and the world.
So why Fire Lily?
Fire Lily has always been committed to creating a positive impact on the community. In fact, impact is in our DNA. We are a small, family-owned business with a deep and proud Kenyan heritage. We want our business to become an agent for bringing change and empowerment to Kenyan coffee-growing families.
Since the birth of Fire Lily, the mission has been clear: to forge direct partnerships with Kenyan coffee farmers. Prior to the inception of Fire Lily, Francis facilitated the direct importation of Kenyan coffee, establishing a seamless connection between these hardworking farmers and coffee roasters. Without intermediaries, Fire Lily proudly imports these exquisite products through their importing entity, Jamii Coffee, fostering a bond of trust and integrity that runs deep within the community.

A percentage of all sales go directly to Kenyan youth. Fire Lily stands by the idea that all children should have equal access to education and resources, no matter where in the world they are born.
Farmers are provided with mentorship and taught regenerative agriculture practices that reverse climate change and restore degraded soil. Eco-friendly approaches to growing include growing macademia trees to remove the need for synthetic fertilizers.
Rather than charity, Fire Lily seeks to empower small-scale farming families with opportunities, creating economic stability, broad social impact, and environmental stability altogether.
As a vertically integrated supply chain, coffee beans go straight from the farmer to Fire Lily, allowing farmers to receive a premium price for their products.
Working with KICE Foundation
One of our first opportunities to define success came while exploring ways to give back to our communities.
Fire Lily discovered the KICE Foundation, which was struggling with their scholarship program due to the pandemic's impact. We were moved to extend a helping hand and support their cause. Upon receiving a list of five bright and deserving young women, each facing significant challenges, we found it difficult to choose just one. Driven by our commitment to make a meaningful difference, we reached out to our network of friends, ultimately ensuring that all five received full sponsorship throughout their high school journey. We, Fire Lily still work with the KICE Foundation to provide opportunities for youth to this day.
We saw that as just the beginning. Each success empowers our ability to improve lives in the communities where we live and work. Moreover, we want to invite others to join us on our mission.
As Fire Lily grows, so does the reach of our positive impact. By employing creativity, collaboration, and unwavering passion, we know we can continue to be a force for good. That is success to us - to Spark Change.
